maybe a few dead and you're not even sure about that? this alone clearly shows how much you care. there were many beaten up and killed syrians, and they had nothing to do with occupation, executions etc... if those who wanted to "revenge" on syria were men, not cowards, they would have taken it with syrian army/moukhabarat officers, not simple poor workers who come to do the shit job we can't be bothered to do ourselves.
tiens, je me suis dit que tu aimerais voir de plus près le visage de tes amis de "coeur"

kindly note the gap between the "storytelling" and the images. they talk of army assaulting homs, but we only see tens of allahuakbarers crazily attacking security forces.
i dont have anything against muslims, but i do have something against all religious extremists.
the point you're dodging is that since the start, a year ago, you and people who share your views have been denying the presence of salafi or muslim brotherhood fighters, and blaming all deaths on the regime, as if it was fighting alone. in this video you fail again to realize the gap between storytelling and facts. however there's one progress here, you speak of "time of war", at least you're not claiming they are peaceful demonstrators.
oh and seriously, are you saying that if extremist groups are violently trying to seize power, security forces should flee or become traitors? the forces behind the unrest, and their foreign sponsors/arms suppliers, are not fighting for people's freedom, their fighting to seize power, and if they do, don't dream of seeing them leave in your lifetime.
idealism is a good thing, but when it's unrealistic and blinds you into accepting the worst horrors you should settle for pragmatism. pragmatism here, for syrians, means accepting the idea of a progressive change, starting with changing the constitution, opening up to pluralism, keeping a healthy amount of pressure and working on the long term for more civil rights and liberties. change does not happen overnight.
blowing up everything, killing officials, soldiers, policemen, civilians, plunging the country into chaos will only drag everyone closer to the abyss, no syrian will benefit from it, only those who want to see syria broken.
OH SERIOUSLY NOW NAHARNET? you simply censor what doesnt go with your storyline? what was wrong with me posting that link???????? http://www.channel4.com/news/the-horror-in-homs
and yes note that despite the storytelling about army attacking homs and civilians, this video clearly shows tens of fanatic fighters attacking security forces.
hezbollah has repeatedly refused to let itself be dragged into sectarian conflicts, despite provocations and despite the fact that it has military advantage. and yes i know what you're going to say, but no, in 2008 what they did was the most minimal and restrained reaction they could have had in the face of the threat of being dismantled by an unconstitutional gov't decree. in most case they arrested, not killed, the militiamen, and gave them to the army, not executed them. most dead were in halba (members od the ssnp office slaughtered) and the chouf where hezbollah men were brutally executed (i'm sur you saw the videos, and i'm pretty sure most others if they were in their place would have sought revenge).
this attitude, and the restraint they demonstrated, and the numerous times they said they renounced seeking an islamic state make them believers, not extremists.
yep, this would be a good start. israel is fueling and sponsoring islamic extremism, because it's in their interest to create clear lines of demarcation, west v/s middle east, Judeo-Christian v/s Muslim.
moderate, democratic, modern arab countries are harder to demonize in the eyes of the west, and we all know israel depends on the west to exist. left alone they would almost instantly crumble.
hahaha qabbani, are you that desperate? hoping that the grilling would lead to “a vote of confidence.” after the audit showed bassil's innocence? you really have a funny conception of justice.
oh yea right you must be one of those who believe in justice without proof where political opponents are necessarily guilty of whatever mud thrown on them.
