As usual , same propaganda as " Sois belle et vote " and we saw what he gave to women compared to March 14th. They get one woman in their " Huge " bloc of 25 mps and of course their pals in hezbollah none. compared to march 14th that had at least 4-5 women and a minister. Do they have a woman minister in today's governement? Aoun is funny and phony and should return back to france and stop begging for the presidency like in the 90's to hafez assad, he didnt not give him this pleasure this is why Aoun waged a " liberation " war. for nothing more and nothing less. And his hundreds of dead soldiers and captured in Syria are forgotten. What a looser and those like falme thrower supporting him as well.
Ya General, you are senile and you will never ever see it...
You let your soldiers die and you almost destroyed the entire country and you will never ever see it...
So I suggest you just give it up and find yourself a nice beach resort somewhere far away from here because you will never ever see it...
Aoun: Don't even think about it... Your best chance was when you came back from France and you blew it!
The brave general is off his meds again... The poor fool is delusional he thinks that by having sold out out to Assad and Hzb he can one day become president.
Aoun you are a meaningless puppet.
Aoun's intention is very clear, he certainly has his eyes on the prize of presidency and doesn't want to throw his hat into the ring too early. It wouldn't be a compromise if your allies nominated you for the top job would it? unless you are afraid of what the future may bring and are still undecided which side you will take. As for the president having a paliamentary bloc, you are trying to leverage of the fpm and hezb support to bolster your chances for election to the top job aren't you? your blind ambitions and self serving ways are very transparent old man..
Hey Flame Thrower
I agree with you about having a crippled presidency. In fact, I will even further state that we also have a crippled government. The question is: Are you aware that the senile Aoun is the main culprit and the main reason of our crippled government? Assuming you were not aware of that, I suggest you review all of Aoun's senile political stands. They were and are obstructive, road blocking etc.. His shrink should have never released him from Deir El Salib where he was being treated. and where he belongs.
Aoun Is our choice for president. The last legitimate leader of Lebanon who was exiled by the rats still in Parliament.
@PatheticLiesThrower Here you go referring to yourself in the third person again. Bad faith, yes you do! Foul mouth, yes and often! Rotten conscience, I am not sure about that one because it implies you have a conscience in the first place and we all know you don't. You have no self-respect; you are a pathetic propagandist and a disinformation specialist. Did you find the paragraph in the consitution that says the weapons in the hand of your Party of God aka "Band of Thugs" is legitimate yet? Good luck with that.
@GMA an incompetant fool who couldn't defend the palace from Syrian agression and who flees to France in shame and humiliation rather than die with honor on the field of battle is not worthy of the privilege of being president of Lebanon.
Hehehehe ... it took him two FPM geniuses (referring to pictures) to post on twitter!!!
The FPM has a collective IQ of an idiot ... and yes FT I am using foul language becuase you are a party that only understands this kind of language. The FPM today is not the same set of ppl that used to rally in Baabda for this person (not worthy of the title General or even man).
God Bless Lebanon and hopefuly by doing so will protect us from this person and his followers (all two of them)
Dec 7 2007 : Feltmen reveals in a Wikileaks Cable (Number: 07BEIRUT1928) that presidential hopeful Michel Suleiman vowed that he wanted a strong partnership with the United States, "like we have with our armies," and he promised (again borrowing a line he used in an earlier meeting) "new behaviour and new language" from the presidency.
Towards the end of the cable Feltmen went on to say "One of the only unmitigated pleasures we anticipate of a Sleiman presidency, which will probably be a mixed bag of good and bad, is watching Aoun's popular support wither."
It seems sauleiman was in a job interview with Feltmen begging him to become President.
Aoun did not include women in the cabinet for the first time since a long time :) and now he is talking about women's rights?
he accused m14 of collusion with the weapons going to syriawhile the army denied any lebanese involvement :)
he has been begging to become president for several years thus all his attacks on suleiman :)
he is full of himself and actually woth nothing....
yeh you would think flame, but it is evident the general has compromised the security of his country for this crippled presidency, he came back to take up the chair but wouldn't accept a m14 'compromise' so he sided with the devil. He has enough ministers in cabinet you would think he is contempt. But he will never be satisfied until he gets the 'crippled presidency'. you know this very well and nothing you can say will make it go away. now tell me why you love him so?
Guys. I see a lot of people criticizing Aoun for different reasons. Not having any political favourite, lets try to analyze here.
IF Aoun was on the side of M14, where would Lebanon be now? Probably in Civil war, or on the edge of Civil war because Hezb, would have been cornered together with Amal.
accusing him for following a Syrian agenda, is unfair, taking in consideration his history.
The only issue left is the weapon issue. It will never be solved, in the way m14 is trying to do it. By isolating, and accusing Hezb for everything wrong in Lebanon. WHen you corner someone, the result will not be positive. IT will probably result in the cornered party, fighting for its life. Again Civil war.
I´m totally against hezbz weapons but we should present serious alternatives to hezbs weapons. That has not been done by any of the M14 or M8 Clowns.
Ulpianus i agree there has to be a peaceful solution to hezb's weapons. However the only reason they were given any kind of legitimacey was when a major christian leader sided with them, aka aoun. This move was made because aoun did not accept a compromise deal with m14 which would have given him the presidency and ultimatley legitimate means where by he could intergrate them into the army. This is an illustration of someone who is not a politician, lacks the capacity of diplomacy and clearly has again put his own agenda ahead of the country's. yes hezb would have felt cornered, but with the UN in the south, as a deterant and with increasing international ressure against iran & syria I woul d have bet the house that hezb would have been sacrificed by both to acheive consessions. there is always an alternative, unfortunaltey aoun lacks the intellect and capacity.
@FleesThrower, I know English is very difficult for you which explains why you constantly dodge questions about the truth. No matter how many times you repeat the same lie it will never become the truth. Till this day you cannot produce a constitutional document which proves the weapons in the arms of your so called Party of God" aka the "Party of Lies and Disinformation" are legitimate yet you continue with your charade. For the last time read it and weep, غير شرعي, ilícito, verboten! Get it? Stop deluding yourself!!!
yeh you would think flame, but it is evident the general has compromised the security of his country for this crippled presidency, he came back to take up the chair but wouldn't accept a m14 'compromise' so he sided with the devil. It is too early to talk about the next presidential elections in Lebanon unless Aoun knows something we don't know (e.g.: early presenditial elections due to forcing Sleiman out by any means).
With the Assad's regime on its way out, Hizballah will try anything that will keep it, and its ally Aoun, afloat.
"Aoun said that the Syrian crisis could affect Lebanon"
Aoun also said that the Syrian crisis ended on that ill Tuesday few months ago.
General Aoun's comments are true about the president having strong presence and support from the parliament, and I totaly support them. Samir Geagea for next presidency then !! This SHOULD happen when March 14 wins the majority of the parliament AGAIN.
hehehe samir geagea could \be the president of 3acahyer Bcharreh and deir el ahmar, does he have any consistent presence elsewhere? judging from the last elections: NOOO
