Sunday First Day of Ramadan, Announces Mufti Qabbani

Grand Mufti Sheikh Mohammed Rashid Qabbani announced on Friday evening that Sunday, June 29, is the first day of the holy month of Ramadan.

Saudi Arabia had confirmed earlier in the day that Saturday will be the last day of the month of Shaaban on the Islamic calendar, after observers failed to sight the crescent of Ramadan.

The holy month will also begin on Sunday in Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates, religious authorities announced.

The month begins with the sighting of the new moon, which varies from country to country.

Ramadan is sacred to Muslims because it is during that month that tradition says the Koran was revealed to the Prophet Mohammed.

During Ramadan, Muslims fast from dawn to dusk and strive to be more pious and charitable.

The fast is one of the five main religious obligations under Islam.

This is good news for all of us because the savages claiming to be Muslims and who are blowing up and beheading each other under the banner of God will put their blood thirst on hold during this religious occasion even though in reality they are fake Muslims who hijacked the beautiful religion of Islam to commit murder and atrocities in the name of God. It is good to know that they feel they have to appear pious even though we all know they are nothing more than disciples of the Devil on the face of the earth.

Is this true?

"Jesus says that he has come to destroy families by making family members hate each other. He has "come not to send peace, but a sword." 10:34-36"

Is this really in the bible?

Missing carrotcake 28 June 2014, 01:01

So it actually is in the bible?????? If yes then your explanation really isent convincing, brother. Has not come to send peace, but a sword.... :@ i also read something about jesus saying he will be ripping open the stomach of a pregnant woman!! And that he says that he has not abolished the laws of the old testament which is filled with brutality. I find this to be terrorism yet people are claiming it's in the bible. I guess i have to start reading the bible myself.

That alleged quote from the bible about jesus ripping open a womans stomach might have been the reason to why this man did such horrible things to this poor woman and he claimed Jesusbis on his side:

Carrotcake all they you have proven is that like in the Koran there are passages that can be taken out of context and like Muslims and vergne fanatical few will use these verses for their own political motivations i.e. Al Qaeda / Crusades etc. Have a nice day :)

Anonymetexasusa, why are you replying in this agressive way? You even go as far as to accuse me of understanding jesus in my violent way? What kind of accusation is this when i am raising a question about something that seems violent and therefor wrong in my opinion. I hate violence. To answer your question, no it absolutely doesnt sound logical to me that jesus would uphold the brutality of the old testament yet this is what is suggested by others and by quoting a verse about jesus saying that he did not come to abolish that law but to fulfill it. I was mistaken about the pregnant women and jesus, that quote is from the book hosea which is the old testament i think?

Between seeing every christian i know not being religious, reading confusing things posted online about the bible and the news where christians do crazy stuff sometimes quoting the bible then yes i admit, i dont know what is true. Why is your interpretation right when the bible uses different language? Try to understand my position as someone who is interested in religion and loves the messiah but sees all these things that previously werent known to me. You being rude isent exactly helping, i wasent even asking you, i was asking bandoul.

Flamethrower, what is the point in you replying? At least anonymoustexasusa offered information with his insults.
