5 People Injured in Ain el-Hilweh Gunfight
إقرأ هذا الخبر بالعربيةFive people were injured in a gunbattle between Jund al-Sham members and Fatah gunmen at the southern Palestinian refugee camp of Ain el-Hilweh, media reports said Thursday.
The shooting took place after two hand grenades exploded at dawn near the house of Fatah al-Islam official Husam al-Shehabi.
Al-Shehabi and the head of the Popular Committees at the camp were among the injured.
The National News Agency said schools remained shut inside Ain al-Hilweh following the gunfight. The Lebanese army also took extra measures at the camp’s entrances, Voice of Lebanon radio station said.
In another incident, one person was killed and another injured after a dispute turned into a gunfight between the members of the same family over inheritance and a land plot in Ras al-Maten, said NNA.
The casualties are from the Hatoum family, it added.
