Guys, you want peace? Just stop harassing hezbollah, leave them alone. They are not asking for nor needing anything from anyone
When the south was occupied, the 'resistants of the 25th hour' didnt move a finger to come to the help of those who were under israeli yoke.
Hezbollah did it, and managed to free the people and the land. Since then it is in the cross-hair of israel and their puppy USA, they want revenge, they want to reoccupy. 2006 was their first attempt to do so. But the Lebanon that kicked them out in 2000 was too united, an effective re-occupation would take some "divide" magic before the conquer part.
Everyone knows Hariri and Nasrallah had great respect for each other and were good friends. With those two alive Lebanon was united and the Sunni-Shiite war was just unimaginable. One had to be eliminated.
They couldn't locate Nasrallah so they went for Hariri, conveniently using his israeli-made scrambling system against him.
@Woody: hebarksthereforehethinkshethinks is not from Keserwan, he is from israel and that is why he doesnt care about the Lebanese people's right to their land and water and oil resources. For him it's "just" a few meters in Shebaa, a few gallons of water from our rivers, a few barrels of oil out of our maritime area, and this is "nothing" for him, but he would kill us all to steal it.
For these racist jewish supremacists, the zionists, goyims deserve nothing and they were "promised everything".
Only the hypocrite international community and their puppets in the area pretend to not know that:
1-Assad has support of huge majority of Syrians
2-The "peaceful protestors" killed 7 policemen from the very first day in Deraa and now they have reached about 400 soldiers and policemen dead. The protest was never peaceful, it is an armed insurrection by a minority.
And really, do you think for a second that abdel halim khaddam and his associates from the muslim brotherhood will give Syrians any democracy or freedom?
The logic here is like Americans bombing democracy into Iraq, it just doesnt work this way. Look at the results now: millions of dead, an entire population living in constant terror of bomb attacks and violence, even more poverty and economic difficulties for the people while the natural resources are being plundered and the puppet president is licking pieces of sugar from the hands of his masters, shaming his entire nation.
"ha ha ha ha!" ? wow, ibarkthereforeithinkithink at least make a little effort to sound Lebanese, here you're too obviously and arrogantly israeli.
All Lebanese from all sides respect their Army and do not laugh at it like this.
@Themis: because two days after the clashes in the Wazzani area, this looks a lot like a provocation.
@Paul: the diplomatic way is currently being explored, and everybody is waiting to see what comes out of it.
In your example about Russia and Norway, and according to your own account of it, "not a barrel of oil was produced" before the resolution of the dispute. This is important, whereas in our case Israel is rushing its preparation to start extracting (and has already started in some area). We saw too many time how their politic of "fait accompli" has been used for instance to rush the colonization of the West Bank before peace talks, creating irreversible (or very hard to reverse) situations.
Let's negotiate that one, sure, but if we see they are trying to suck out the oil before getting to the discussion table then no, we're not going to let it happen so easily. Sick of being ripped off by these greedy crooks.
