regarding syria it is much more complicated, as syria did harm lebanon, but those who allowed it to happen, and benefited the most from it are now in m14.
as far as i'm concerned syria stopped being my enemy when they withdrew from lebanon peacefully, and i'm convinced they did not kill al-Hassan, not because "they are nice" (they arent) but because it doesnt serve their interests (to the contrary).
