anonyme, you dont need to exaggerate my words to twist them into making a point. i didnt say gazzilion, i said thousands, and although nobody knows much about the real numbers, it is known that missiles like shahab-3 which can carry 1000kg and more payloads with range enough to reach israel have been serial produced since 2002-2003.
lets take a low estimate and say they can produce about a hundred per year, it's been 10 years, that's already around a thousand. and that's one missile, not the biggest, there has been talks about shahab-4 missiles since shortly after the 3 entered serial production, but almost nothing is known about them. there are also improved versions of the shahab3, with bigger payloads and ranges that are known to have been produced, but also little is known.
what's sure however is that a "thousand" is certain, "thousands" are likely. so my figure was realistic.

the son's main deed towards lebanon was to exit peacefully, this has to be recognized. also, despite the fact that they did wrongs, they also did some good, it would be ungrateful and blinding ourselves to not recognize that they saved the christians from annihilation on different occasions. i also believe there is a great chance at least part of lebanon's villages would have had hebrew names by now if you know what i mean.

also, as you may or may not have read me say here a few times, i opposed syrian presence, in the early 2000's i took part in protests against them, got beaten up and continued. and i was not alone, so i disagree that you couldnt "defy Syria's will".
the problem is syria's will was enforced by local allies, or servants, and it's the ISF which beat me up, not the syrian moukhabarat just so you know.
to see those who collaborated then, claim today to be patriotic and criticize aoun's peace-making, is too hypocrite for me to swallow.

I know you would love to see your FSA bric-a-brac rebels storm undefended villages and slaughter the population like they did in countless other villages throughout Syria, mainly targeting all non-Sunnis, and non-aligned Sunnis, but I do not agree.
Also, the number of HA fighters dead (amounting to maybe less than 6 in the last year) is consistent with this.
Had HA been more involved or operating in other parts of Syria then the few border villages, the number of casualties would have been much greater.
