1 Dead, 2 Hurt as Members of Jaafar Family Clash in al-Sharawneh

W460

One person was killed and two others were injured, including a soldier, in an armed clash Sunday between members of the Jaafar family in the Baalbek neighborhood of al-Sharawneh.

“A dispute between young men from the Jaafar family erupted into gunfire, which resulted in the death of Hassan Ali Hussein Jaafar, aka Hassan Dawra, and the wounding of another person from the Jaafar family,” state-run National News Agency reported.

The army later issued a statement saying a soldier was lightly injured as troops were trying to contain the clash.

“Army forces deployed in the area and restored normalcy,” the statement said, adding that troops were still “pursuing the shooters and those involved in the incident to arrest them and refer them to the relevant judicial authorities.”

The restive neighborhood of al-Sharawneh witnesses frequent clashes between the army and fugitives and between members of powerful Baalbek clans.

Thugs come in many forms and have to do with socio-economic development and not sect.

and lol btw, "The tchador prevents their women from improving their socio-economical status, dragging their families down. And who imposes them to wear the black thrashbags? Their lovely husbands."

you're right, the burka and/or niqab is much more empowering for women.

Thumb _mowaten_ 22 June 2015, 14:02

Thumb EagleDawn 22 June 2015, 15:23

mowaten, everybody knows you are not Lebanese, so why pretend to be something you are not. You are a pure Iranian sectarian creature.

Thumb _mowaten_ 22 June 2015, 16:08

Good to see that. When the vermin starts derailing the debate in every possible direction, it means they lost and they know it.

Thumb _mowaten_ 22 June 2015, 19:19

(1). On the evening of Saturday 20 June 2015, there was a serious clash between the Ataya family living mainly in the Rweset area and members of other Shiite families. The dispute broke out because a growing number of Shiites are now getting truly disenchanted by the policies of Hezbollah and are in fact leaving the party of God. In this clash alone, there were over 12 injuries half of them serious. 6 of the injured were taken to saint Joseph hospital in Saint Joseph Street Dawra, the others were taken to Haroun Hospital and Abou Jawdeh, different factions, different hospitals. At least 150 Lebanese Soldiers were deployed to prevent the violence escalating any further. I can confirm the story because I was in Saint Joseph hospital to attend a friend who was injured that same evening.

are you related to the_roar/flamethrower?

Thumb -phoenix1 22 June 2015, 17:01

Mowaten, why am I not surprised at your post? You call this a story? Well mate, you know where these 3 hospitals are in Beirut, you know where Rwaiset is, and Z3eytriyeh are, you know the Ataya family, you know the other ones, you know that what I wrote is true, but you cannot accept nor admit it when you get exposed. Then all of a sudden we've got a new yellow troll by the name of Doofus, have you ever been to Togo and asked what Doofus means there? You don't wanna know. Truth is, that Hezbollah is nowadays having problems, real problems with the very people that feed it. Khaleekoun 3al khat, remember, most tyrannies fall from the inside.

Thumb _mowaten_ 22 June 2015, 18:43

12 people wounded and sent to 3 hospitals, 150 soldiers deployed, and not a single news outlet mentionned it? and nobody heard about it? and i'm supposed to take a random person's word on internet about it? give me a break phoenix

Thumb -phoenix1 22 June 2015, 19:21

That's right ya Mowaten, unless you don't live in Beirut, maybe in Tehran. Then I am in no surprise that you would have come out to deny and even question this. It happened, hey look man, go to Mar Youssef Street and ask, go to Haroun hospital and ask, streets were thick with people. But your Hezbollah did what it could, to muffle the issue best as it could. Ya habibi, I told you to go and ask in the Shiite neighborhoods I mentioned. You guys will be soaked in sulfuric acid and would still deny you're burning. Too bad but living in denial will not bode well for you. Like Tex said, you will keep denying, but you know well what I am talking about, it happened, the patients are still mostly in hospital under guard and Hezbollah is now seeing itself being split. This is what happens to big headed thick skulls, and you've just made living proof of it too!!

no no we are supposed to take the word of a paid iranian mouthpiece that his terror party is the party of angels and that his outlaw community never does anything wrong. Yet, the news every day is filled with thugs from his sect and party committing crimes and terrorizing the nation.
