Berri optimistic Jan. 9 session will produce president
Speaker Nabih Berri reassured Monday that "the atmosphere is good" regarding the presidential file.
"God willing, there will be a president in the January 9 session," he added.
Berri also met Monday with Minister of State at the Qatari Foreign Ministry, Mohammad bin Abdul Aziz al-Khulaifi.

It is absurd election of president & Lebanon future to be decided by dean of political mafia, Hizb appointed prime minster, Vichy government & MP most of them (including FPM) elected by force of arms not representing people aspirations (not unlike Assad 90% election win). They should be invited to court not election and prevent them from travel to account for assassinations, corruption & $50 billion electricity deficit leaving country bankrupt & in darkness. Berri & Miquati failed to call on army to disarm Hizb prior to Israel invasion after Hizb headquarters and massive arm storage were bombed. That would’ve prevented millions from being displaced and massive destruction and losses. Every Hizb rocket caused 100 times more damage. Hizb is nothing but Iranian brigade spreading a culture of death & indoctrination. All sovereign MPs must immediately resign & support Cedar Revolution II for no arms outside army. Only new Parliament should elect president.
