Syrian fighter jets flew over parts of the Bekaa region in eastern Lebanon on Sunday, media reports said.

Voice of Lebanon radio (100.5) said that the jets flew over the outskirts of the town of Arsal.

Security forces on Sunday raided Ward B in Roumieh prison, where Fatah al-Islam inmates are jailed, seizing prohibited items, including cellphones and sharp objects, media reports said.

The raid did not involve any violence, according to LBCI television.

Head of the Syrian National Council Abdel Basset Sayda demanded that Hizbullah and Iran refrain from meddling in the Syrian revolt against President Bashar Assad and his regime, reported the Kuwaiti al-Seyassah daily on Sunday.

At least ten security guards at Roumieh prison were arrested on Saturday as investigations are ongoing after three Fatah al-Islam inmates managed to escape from the largest prison facility in the country, media reports said.

According to MTV, State Commissioner to the Military Court Judge Saqr Saqr ordered the detention of 11 guards at the prison.

Four men kidnapped on Saturday Youssef Qassem Sokkarieh from Jdeidet al-Fakha region in Baalbek, the National News Agency reported.

According to NNA, the kidnappers were identified A. Yassine, while the remaining others are from al-Jaafar family.
